Almost Got It Right

Is it our imagination, or is this ad we just saw (R) from FreshCo reminiscent of established, familiar branding (L) by NoFrills?

Sure seems like it to us, especially considering FreshCo's primary logo colours are green/white, not yellow/red.

We don't mind referencing competitors (it's fruitless to pretend they don't exist)...but we don't think this ad works. When we saw this ad we actually thought it was a NoFrills piece, until we saw the small FreshCo logo hiding in the corner.
